Career Academy of Utah (CAU) provides students in grades K–12** a unique learning environment to explore a variety of career options, earn industry certifications, and pursue academic mastery. Combining high-quality academics and industry-relevant, career-minded instruction with college preparation, CAU gives students a competitive edge for the future as they navigate the requirements of a rigorous online curriculum.
The mission of Career Academy of Utah (CAU) is to empower students regardless of zip code to break through the constraints of limited opportunity by fostering academic mastery and providing focused career readiness education to close the skills gap, prepare students for high paying careers within their communities, and achieve success beyond high school.
Career Academy of Utah allows middle and high school students to explore career options and gain an edge for the future. Starting in grade 7, students take carer exploration classes to get a broad overview of job fields. In high school, students take core academic courses as well as career-focused classes in the high-demand field of their choice.

*Career Academy of Utah is a public charter school authorized by Utah State University under Utah Code Ann. § 53G-5- 205.
**Career Academy of Utah is enrolling students in grades K–9 for the 2023–2024 school year. Grades 10–12 will be added in subsequent years. Enrollment is limited. If the number of applications received during the open enrollment period exceeds the number of available spaces, Career Academy Utah will hold a lottery immediately following the open enrollment period. Students whose applications are not selected by the lottery may opt to be placed on an enrollment waitlist.
